Same Dress, Different Bride: A Wedding Day Betrayal

Chapter 1

On my wedding day, my fiancé's white moonlight appeared at the venue wearing the same custom-made wedding dress as mine.

I watched them standing together greeting guests.

With a composed face, I complimented them, saying they were truly a perfect match.

The white moonlight ran away crying.

He, however, scolded me in front of everyone for being petty and narrow-minded.

After the wedding banquet, he went on our honeymoon trip with the white moonlight.

I didn't argue, but instead went directly to schedule an abortion.

...

By the time I finished dealing with everything and returned home, it was already late at night.

The pale moonlight spilled into the living room, casting a cold and lonely glow over everything.

I dragged my exhausted body back to the bedroom, looking at the bridal bouquet in the room.

It all felt so ironic.

The confetti on the bed hadn't been cleaned up yet, but I was too tired today.

I could only carelessly remove the confetti from the bed before collapsing onto the soft mattress.

While plugging in my phone to charge, I "happened" to see an Instagram post by Elese Jones.

[Blessed by your presence, not wasting our encounter.]

The photo showed Brandon Brown holding her, the two of them gazing at each other lovingly, just a centimeter away from kissing, both wearing matching couple rings.

In the past, if I had seen something like this, I would have immediately rushed over to demand an explanation from him.

But now, I simply turned off my phone silently.

I rolled over and went to sleep.

For several days after that, I didn't receive any messages from Brandon.

I would only frequently see updates about him on Elese's Instagram.

They were kissing, taking photos, shopping...

I didn't mind any of it, and instead directly contacted a lawyer to prepare for divorce.

Brandon and I had been together for eight years, from college until now.

Although we only recently held our wedding ceremony,

We had actually impulsively gotten our marriage certificate right after graduating from college.

No wedding, no bride price, no jewelry.

Just hearts full of love.

But now that love had worn away to nothing, leaving only a mess behind.

Until half a month later.

I was sitting at home reviewing the initial draft prepared by the lawyer.

Suddenly, I heard the sound of a door opening outside.

I looked up.

And saw Brandon holding Elese's hand as they entered through the door.

Our eyes met, and immediately a flash of embarrassment crossed Brandon's eyes.

He hurriedly let go of Elese's hand and spoke with an unnatural tone.

"Elese has never been to the seaside, so that's why I took her there."

"Besides, you're pregnant, and didn't the doctor say you should be careful..."

Before he could finish, I had already shifted my gaze back to the draft in front of me, nodding indifferently.

"Mm, okay."

"Go..."

The words he was about to say got stuck in his throat. Seeing me sitting in front of the computer without any response,

He seemed to get even angrier.

He immediately questioned me coldly.

"Do you have to be like this? I already told you Elese had never been to the seaside, that's why I took her."

"Besides, when can't we go on a honeymoon? What are you making a fuss about!"

"And I've told you many times, Elese and I are just..."

Seeing him rambling on, I simply interrupted him directly.

"You and her are just siblings, I know."

I looked at him calmly, without any trace of anger on my face.

The coldness on his face intensified, his whole person frowning at me, his tone full of exasperation.

"Then what are you making a fuss about?"

"I'm busy."

I gathered all my thoughts back, not looking at Brandon's expression.

Elese, standing to the side, seeing this situation, hurriedly stepped forward and grabbed Brandon's wrist.

She added fuel to the fire, saying,

"Victoria, don't be angry. Please don't argue with Brandon because of me."

"Although Brandon didn't take you this time, he specially brought you a gift from the seaside."

After saying this, she turned her head and sweetly looked at Brandon.

"Brandon, hurry up and show Victoria the gift."

Hearing this, Brandon quickly took out a small box from his pocket, opened it, and pushed it in front of me.

"Bought it specially for you, open it and take a look."

He looked quite proud, as if I would be grateful for this.

I raised my head and glanced.

Inside the box was a pair of simple floral earrings, with paved diamonds around the edge and blue jade petals, looking very fresh and elegant.

But I just glanced at it, and then pushed the box back.

"No need, I don't have a hobby of collecting freebies."

The atmosphere immediately froze, and Brandon's face fell first.

"Victoria White, what do you mean?"

Chapter 2

I calmly glanced at the seven-figure value bracelet on Elese's hand, then looked directly into Brandon's eyes and said,

"I mean exactly what I said. You give the bracelet away, and give me a freebie gift. Do you think I only deserve freebies?"

Brandon probably didn't expect me to bring up the freebie issue face to face, and was momentarily embarrassed.

It was Elese who immediately spoke up, looking aggrieved,

"Victoria, don't be angry. Brandon gave me this bracelet because he saw that I really liked it. If you're really unhappy, I'll return the bracelet to you."

"Please don't argue with Brandon because of me, it's not worth it."

She said this, but made no move to take off the bracelet. She just looked at Brandon pitifully, tears falling one by one.

Seeing her like this, Brandon immediately held her in his arms, looking at me with displeasure in his eyes.

"Elese, don't listen to her. The bracelet was given to you, so it's yours now."

"She's just like this, petty and narrow-minded."

I glanced at them, not saying anything, and continued looking at the computer in front of me.

Seeing me like this, the anger in Brandon's eyes intensified.

He simply hugged Elese and walked out. When passing through the doorway,

He deliberately opened the door forcefully, then stood at the doorway looking at me.

I knew he was waiting for me to give in, waiting for me to give him a way out.

It had always been like this in the past.

I would take the initiative to reconcile, only to be met with his repeated pushing of boundaries.

So now, I didn't even raise my head to look at him.

Instead, I added the several million he spent on buying the bracelet for Elese to the property division list.

Seeing me like this, Brandon simply slammed the door shut forcefully.

Not long after they left, my parents called.

They said they hoped I could come back for dinner together.

I didn't refuse, but encountered Brandon at my parents' doorstep.

When he saw me, there was a hint of uneasiness on his face, but he still pretended to be calm and spoke.

"Shall we go in together?"

I didn't refuse, but simply nodded and walked in.

The dinner was extremely awkward. My parents were probably still upset about the wedding day incident,

So their attitude towards Brandon was not very good.

If it were before, I might have tried to smooth things over.

But now, I just let Brandon sit there awkwardly by himself.

When dinner was over, I was about to call a taxi to go home.

Brandon had already driven his car in front of me. I had just opened the car door and sat down,

When I saw a sticker on the passenger seat that said [Elese's Exclusive Seat].

Brandon cleared his throat, speaking somewhat uncomfortably to explain.

"Elese insisted on putting it here, anyway you don't sit here often."

I nodded, speaking very calmly.

"Mm, young girls are like that."

Brandon frowned, about to say something when my phone rang.

I didn't pay attention to Brandon, but lowered my head to focus on replying to the message.

By the time I had finished dealing with the matter, Brandon had already parked the car outside a villa.

I had just gotten out of the car when Elese eagerly dove into Brandon's arms.

"Brandon, I missed you so much."

Probably because it was in front of me, Brandon's expression was a bit awkward.

He quickly stopped Elese's attempt to kiss his face.

"That's enough, how old are you, why are you still so childish."

Elese looked at me triumphantly, speaking coquettishly.

"What does age matter, am I not still your little sister no matter how old I get?"

I didn't want to pay attention to the little actions between the two of them, so I simply walked in.

Just as I reached the doorway, I saw several photos playing repeatedly on the electronic screen.

They were all of Elese and Brandon.

There were photos of them embracing while watching the sunrise, eating together, and even at the end, there was a photo of the two passionately kissing.

I had just looked for a moment when Brandon quickly ran to my side to explain.

"Victoria, these photos are all fake, believe me, don't get angry, getting angry is not good for the baby."

I turned to look at him, and saw a flash of guilt in his eyes.

I nodded.

"Mm, the photos are quite nice."

Brandon frowned.

"Victoria, aren't you angry?"

I remained composed.

"No, why would I be?"

Just as I finished speaking, my phone rang.

It was the doctor calling to discuss the details of my hospital admission tomorrow.

I walked to the side to answer the phone, not paying attention to Brandon's expression anymore.

Chapter 3

By the time I had finished dealing with everything and returned to the party,

I saw Brandon protecting Elese, loudly accusing another person.

From their words, it wasn't hard to tell that

The person had accidentally spilled some wine from their glass on the corner of Elese's clothes, and Brandon was insistently demanding an apology.

Looking at this scene before me, I suddenly remembered several years ago.

At that time, Brandon and I were attending the same banquet. As we passed by the champagne tower in the middle of the party, Elese directly pushed me.

I lost my balance and fell onto the champagne tower.

The wine glasses shattered, and wine mixed with blood flowed down my body.

I sought help from Brandon, but he scolded me loudly in front of everyone.

"Can't you walk properly! Can't you see such a big champagne tower?"

"You still crashed into it, don't you know how important this party is? I really don't know why someone as useless as you is still alive!"

"If I were you, I'd just bash my head in right here!"

Coming back to the present, looking at all this before me.

I just found it extremely laughable.

I simply turned and left.

Brandon didn't come home all night.

I wasn't surprised, as this wasn't the first time.

But when I was washing up in the morning, I saw Brandon returning with breakfast, and Elese following behind him.

Seeing me come out, he put the breakfast on the dining table, and surprisingly offered an explanation.

"We played too late last night, Elese was afraid to be alone, so I sent her home."

"It was already midnight, so I just slept at her place for the night."

Elese was holding onto Brandon's arm, challenging me as she spoke.

"That's right, Victoria, you're not angry, are you?"

I nodded, not saying a word.

Brandon seemed to have noticed my coldness, he put the breakfast on the table and spoke softly.

"Victoria, didn't you always want to see that newly released movie?"

"I happen to have time today, I'll take you to see it."

That movie had received rave reviews since its release, and I had asked him many times.

But Brandon had always refused.

He always said he had many things to deal with at the company.

But not many days later, I saw him on Elese's Instagram.

[The best movie deserves the best you.]

The photo didn't show faces, but looking at the intertwined hands in the picture, even without showing faces, I could recognize it was him.

Smelling the faint perfume on Brandon, I directly refused.

"No need, I have something to do today."

Seeing me like this, a flash of embarrassment crossed Brandon's eyes, he wanted to say something more.

Elese had already sat down on the sofa, looking at me innocently.

"Victoria, when you say you have something to do, is it to meet your college classmate?"

I looked at her puzzled.

The fact that I was preparing for divorce was known only to me and the lawyer, let alone that this lawyer was my college classmate.

Seeing my puzzled look, Elese again looked at Brandon helplessly.

"Brandon, don't be angry, I heard from a friend the other day that they saw Victoria and a college classmate at a coffee shop behaving..."

She deliberately paused, then spoke again as if afraid.

"Intimately..."

"But maybe my friend saw wrong, Victoria loves Brandon so much, how could she cheat on her brother?"

As soon as she finished speaking, Brandon's face immediately fell. He raised his hand and smashed the vase on the table, looking at me angrily.

"Victoria! You refuse to go see the movie with me because you want to go out and meet another man in private!"

"How can you do this to the child in your belly!"

I lowered my head to look at the broken pieces on the ground, before I could speak, Elese spoke again, pretending to be generous.

"Brandon, don't be angry, we should talk calmly."

"We can't blame Victoria for doing this, after all, isn't Victoria's mother also because of an affair..."

This time, before she could finish speaking, I grabbed a tissue from the side and threw it at her.

I could tolerate her slandering me, but not my mother.

The place where Elese had just been hit by the tissue immediately turned red, Brandon hurriedly raised her arm to look at it with concern.

Seeing Elese's aggrieved appearance, Brandon immediately pointed at me and scolded angrily.

"Victoria, you've really disappointed me!"

"Even if what Elese said isn't true, you can't raise your hand against her!"

"Don't you know..."

He wanted to continue his endless accusations, but was directly interrupted by me.

"So, you know what she said isn't true!"

Brandon's face immediately became embarrassed, but he quickly regained his composure, pointing at me self-righteously.

"Yes, I saw it that day too."

"But, you're wrong to hit someone."

"Apologize to Elese quickly, or we'll go get a divorce right now!"

A chill immediately spread throughout my body, I looked at him in disbelief, but still chose to make one last attempt at reconciliation.

"Brandon, I've made an appointment for an abortion, will you come with me tomorrow?"

Brandon immediately sneered, as if I was telling some kind of joke.
